Sporting Kansas City have been able to benefit immensely by the partnership between Dom Dwyer and Krisztian Nemeth.

The duo have produced nine goals in combination with each other. It could only get better as they start to play regularly with each other.Nemeth managed two goals in the recent 4-2 win over New England Revolution. This helped the 26-year-old take his tally to 5 goals in nine appearances for the season.Dwyer, meanwhile, has managed to grab four goals in 11 appearances. Both these players have been the primary attacking prowess for the club with the likes of Pietersen yet to score.

Nemeth says that it will not be long before the partnership starts to produce great results given that they will know about their moves much earlier than the opposition defenders. Sporting have lacked the consistency to keep them challenging for the title, but they remain in the hunt for a play-off spot. A run of just two wins in the last five matches has seen them remain level with the likes of San Jose earthquakes and LA Galaxy in terms of points. After the win over New England, it will be extremely difficult for Sporting Kansas City to keep up the form since they are up against Seattle Sounders in the next match.

“Now, it’s better than the first few games. You try to feel the moves, see how we have to work together. In the future, it’s going to be an even better partnership, I think,” said Nemeth. “He’s a fantastic player. I love playing with him. We work well off each other. We kind of know where we’re going to be. I’ll work off the ball for him and he’ll work off the ball for me. We have a little combination going. We’re very unselfish with each other, we just want to win. We don’t care who scores. We just want to win,” said Dwyer.
