Brazilian media outlet GloboEsporte has revealed how MLS football club FC Toronto paid just £4m to secure the signing of YefersonSoltedo from Santos in the Brazilian league.

Immediate past Santos president Jose Carlos Peres prevented the player from leaving the club last year indirectly when he slapped a£32m (€35m) asking price on the player.

One of the numerous clubs who have started to make preparations ahead of the preseason camp is New York Red Bulls. The Bulls have released a full roster showing their activities for preseason camp. They are also putting in more efforts to complete their remaining transfer businesses so they can add the names of any potential new signings to their squads ahead of the new season which will be starting in a few weeks.

LAFC CHIEF EXPLAINS BRIAN RODRIQUEZ TRANSFER

Los Angeles FC (LAFC) General Manager, John Thorrington has explained the reason behind the strange transfer involving his MLS football outfit, Uruguayan hot prospect Brian Rodriguez and Almeria in the Spanish lower leagues. A lot of MLS football followers expected Brian Rodriguez to leave the MLS football club due to his immense football talents but they didn’t envisage his destination. It was the player’s destination that took people by surprise and not the transfer out of the MLS football outfit. 20-year-old winger Brian Rodriguez has signed for Almeria in the Spanish second division. Almeria are not one of the biggest clubs in Spanish football and they are not close to sealing a place in the Spanish La Liga anytime soon.

John Thorrington, the LAFC General Manager, addressed all the concerns raised as a result of the Brian Rodriguez loan transfer to Almeria in a chat with Max Breton. BULLS DEFENDER EXPLAINS FAILED ZAMALEK MOVE

New York Red Bulls defender Amro Tarek has revealed the reason behind his failed move to Egyptian club football giants Zamalek. He talked about his botched transfer to Zamalek FC of Egypt in an exclusive interview with Al Nahar TV. During the said interview, Amro Tarek was able to explain what led to the cancellation of the transfer as well as the actors behind it.

According to him, he had penned a deal to join Zamalek before his move to fellow Egyptian first division club Ismaily. The ex-WadiDegla defender said that he doesn’t know why the transfer to Zamalek was called off till date and that he found out about the collapsed transfer on TV. The MLS football player said he saw Zamalek president Mortada Mansour accuse his agent publicly of brokerage and that his transfer would no longer go through as a result.
