Houston Dynamo’s home and away record is vastly different

During the 2016 season of the MLS, Houston Dynamo finished in the very last position of the Western Conference with 34 points collected from 34 matches.

They only managed to secure 7 triumphs and 14 draws while losing 13 games.

In this latest 2017 edition of the MLS, Houston Dynamo are doing a clearly better job as the team is currently positioned in 2nd place with 20 points from the 13 opening games that they have played so far.

Despite doing such a significantly better time, there is something that has troubled the head coach Wilmer Cabrera and it’s the fact that his team have dominated the majority of their home matches but struggled when it comes to away games.

Out of the 6 away games of this 2017 MLS season of Houston Dynamo, they have lost 5 of those games and drawn the other remaining encounter but when it comes to the home matches, it’s a totally different story with 6 victories and 1 draw from their 7 opening games that they have played in their home turf at the BBVA Compass Stadium.

Adolph DeLaGarza has been performing with Houston Dynamo since January of 2017 and when the 29 year old American defender was asked about why they have been underperforming so much in their away games, he simply did not know why it’s been happening as he said: Continue reading “Houston Dynamo’s home and away record is vastly different”

Marc Burch says Minnesota United Already Showing Defensive Improvements

Minnesota United had a horror debut to the MLS after conceding 11 goals in the opening two matches.

Since then, the team’s defence has improved substantially, although they have still conceded four goals in the last two matches. A 2-0 loss against FC Dallas at the Toyota stadium might seem like yet another disappointing result, but the team can take a lot of positives from the match. After the game, defender Marc Burch claimed that Minnesota United could have prevented the two goals that the club conceded today. Such has been the improvement over the last couple of matches.

After recently being brought in from Colorado Rapids, Sam Cronin and Marc Burch may turn out to be key players for the club. It is only after their arrival that the club’s defensive form has been looking up. Javier Morales opened the scoring for Dallas in the 43rd minute before FC Dallas capitalised on the disappointing concentration levels of Minnesota United to score just four minutes into the second half through Michael Barrios. Youngsters are at the frontlines of FC Dallas

Oscar Parejo is doing an impressive job in charge of FC Dallas as he has constructed a young squad that has been able to do a number of impressive feats including winning the U.S. Open Cup and snatching the top spots of the Western Conference as FC Dallas is the only club that is competing against Colorado Rapids for the 1rst spot of the MLS.

The average age in the squad of Oscar Parejo is 26 years which means that he has a fairly young team that have been able to collect points and secure positive results against just about every other team in the league.

FC Dallas has one of the most developed youth academy programs in the MLS and it has been giving them positive effects as there are a consistent amount of rising stars that are able to snatch a spot in the first team instead of being offloaded on loan deals to other clubs.

What clubs usually do to their young players is offload them to other squads where they have a better chance of getting time in the first team but FC Dallas take the risk of giving their youngsters time on the playing grounds and it has been obviously paying off. Charlotte wants to attract a MLS franchise team

Charlotte is the largest city in North Carolina and it seems like it’s aiming to become a ‘’soccer city’’ as this was stated by the CEO of Charlotte Chamber, Bob Morgan who has recently talked about the plans of the city which is hoping to turn into a center of attraction for fans of the sport.

“Soccer will help us attract more young people and it will allow us to attract those who were born outside of the United States. Soccer is but one example of part of a broader culture, one of a city and a region that is forward-thinking, and that is and will continue to attract companies and people. We aspire to be home to an MLS franchise,” Bob Morgan said.

On July 30 of the ongoing year, Bayern Munich faced off with Inter Milan as they played for the 2016 International Champions Cup and the German outfit came out on top with a convincing final scoreboard of 4-1. This match attracted over 50,000 fans with the majority of them being local supporters who opted to go and watch the game and it’s proof that there are a significant amount of fans located in Charlotte, North Carolina. MLS Chosen Over European Football

The Major League Soccer is being favored highly by all soccer players over European football.

The prime reason is due to some of the top leagues of Europe like the series A, English Premier League, French Ligue1 and Bundesliga that are quite physical and demanding. The teams are made to join together in a major competition similar to the Champions League that gathers all the top players of Europe to jointly fight to achieve the biggest trophy and also to be awarded Champions of Europe. To become the champions of Europe is indeed not easy as you are not only playing with spectacular teams in Europe but also have to play in your own league too. For old players who are 30 and above, it is indeed challenging for their physiques.

As far as playing in MLS is concerned, it is not as tough, although it is quite competitive like that of Europe. Some of the renowned players of America are regarded as legends in the league. The names include Tim Howard, Brad Friedel, Clint Dempsey and Matt Miazga. There are many reasons that compel the players to choose MLS over Euro leagues.
