Red Bulls sign Wright Philips

The New York Red Bulls have clinched the signing of former Southampton forward Bradley Wright Philips for the new season of Major League Soccer and will team him up with legendary Arsenal and France forward Thierry Henry in attack as they mount an all out assault for a spot in the play-off places.

The former Manchester City player signed with the New York side on Wednesday, when it was announced by the MLS as the club and the player’s representative. Wright Philips is the son of legendary Arsenal striker Ian Wright and the brother of another former Manchester City player and current Queens Park Rangers winger Shawn Wright Philips.
